Kaunissaari – The Gem of the Eastern Gulf of Finland
The guest harbor of the municipality of Pyhtää is located at the southern tip of Kaunissaari, next to the old fishing village. The harbor is sheltered from waves and winds in all directions. Harbor services include electricity, water, toilets, showers, a laundry/washing facility, a waste shelter, and a grill hut. Kaunissaari’s diverse services are just a short walk from the harbor.

There are 86 guest boat spots, of which 36 can be pre-booked. There are 5 spots for jet skis. The harbor entrance channel has a depth of 2.5 meters. The depth at the guest harbor is 2.0 meters. Note!! At the wave-breaker dock (E-dock), the entrance depth is 1.3 meters, approximately 2 meters from the dock (mooring chains).

The harbor is open to guest boaters annually from the Friday of the third calendar week of May to Sunday of the second weekend in September.

Harbormaster Availability

Between the Friday of the third calendar weekend of May and the Wednesday of midsummer week, the harbormaster can be reached daily by phone from 08:00 to 21:00 and, if necessary, on-site as required.

Between the Thursday of midsummer week and the Sunday before the start of school, the harbormaster is on-site daily from 10:00 to 17:00. Additionally, the harbormaster is available nearby from 17:00 to 20:00 daily and can be reached by phone daily from 08:00 to 21:00.

Between the Monday of the school start week and the Sunday of the second weekend in September, the harbormaster is on-site at the harbor on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10:00 to 17:00. The harbormaster is also available by phone daily from 08:00 to 21:00 and on-site if necessary.

Harbor Fees

Guest Harbor Docking Fees:

  • Day Fee (for boats and jet skis, starting from 4 hours): 10 €
    This does not include showers or water toilets. The composting toilet is available for those who have paid the day fee.

Overnight Fee:

  • A, B, C, and E Docks: 30 €/night
  • D Dock: 25 €/night

Docking Guidelines:

  • Boats can dock from 12:00 on the day of the reservation and must depart by 11:50 the following day.
  • The spot must be occupied by 24:00 on the reservation day.
  • If the spot has not been occupied by 24:00, the harbor has the right to give the spot to another boater, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Paid reservation fees are non-refundable.

Overnight Fee Includes:

  • VAT, electricity, water, showers, water toilets, and access to the grill hut.

Additional Information:

  • Spots at A and B Docks can be reserved in advance and are intended for overnight stays only.
  • C, D, and E Docks are also available for day visitors. Payment can be made at the harbor office or via a QR code located at the top of the gangway.
